What We Believe

ACTEENS: Acteens® is a missions organization for girls ages 12–17 or in grades 7–12. Through Acteens, teenage girls have opportunities to grow in their relationships with God and their peers. Acteens learn to look beyond themselves and become actively involved in missions and ministry.

FOOD PANTRY: ECBC offers an emergency food pantry each Thursday from 10:00-12:00. Clients must have a referral from the Cooperative Ministry or the Department of Social Services. There is a brief interview, and a church volunteer will talk and pray with them. Other volunteers prepare bags of items for families.

GIRLS IN ACTION (GA®): Girls in Action is a missions discipleship organization for girls. Every girl in grades 1-6 can be a part. Through GAs, girls learn about, pray for, give to, and do missions work. They also make new friends and have lots of fun. The GA Motto is "Go Forward!" and the GA Pledge is "As a GA, I will do my best to live a missions lifestyle that honors God by learning about missions, praying for missions, giving to missions, doing missions, and participating in the work of the church." The scripture verse for GAs is "Give thanks to the Lord. Worship Him. Tell the nations what He has done. Announce how honored He is." (Isaiah 12:4).

Koinonia is a movement of people who seek to be a racially reconciling, healing Presence in the Eau Claire community. Anchored in our steadfast dependence on God and one another and through the faithful stewardship of Eau Claire Baptist Church, we aspire to:

· foster safe environments for children to learn, grow and reach their potential.

· encourage all individuals to know and celebrate their God-given skills and talents, operating according to the asset-based model.

· promote local economic activity based on community needs.

· develop quality, affordable housing with paths toward home ownership.

· facilitate experiences of community (“koinonia”) at a level in which it is indistinguishable as to who is giving and who is receiving.

MISSION FRIENDS: The Mission Friends program is for boys and girls ages 1 through kindergarten. The group meets each Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 with supper available at 7:00 following the meeting. The program is designed to teach pre-schoolers about Jesus and how to share His love.
PUPPET MINISTRY: The puppet ministry team is comprised of members of the older youth group. The team regularly performs puppet shows and ministry activities for the children's sermon and nursing home visits. The group has also performed at a reunion for the Baptist Hospital former neonatal parents and children, an elementary school carnival and at the State Fair
ROYAL AMBASSADORS: The RAs is for boys in grades 1-12. The high school group is also known as High School Baptist Young Men. The RA motto is "We are ambassadors for Christ" based on 2nd Corinthians 5:20. At ECBC we meet once a week for Bible and missions study and fellowship. The counselors believe that interacting with the boys in games, sports and fellowship is needed along with the Bible study to share our relationship with Christ with each young man. The boys learn about what it means to accept Christ, to live like Christ, and to share Christ with others around the world. In addition to our meetings during the school year, RAs features a special program during the summer and various retreats throughout the year. The summer program includes swimming, camping and other outdoor activities.
